APSCUF Scholarships

Each year both the local chapter of APSCUF at West Chester University and the state-wide organization award scholarships to students.

The APSCUF state-wide scholarship, historically $3,000, is awarded competitively based on an application and essay. Undergraduates and graduate students are eligible for this award.  For an undergraduate degree, the applicant must have completed and passed 30 credits with at least a 2.75 GPA.  For a graduate degree, the applicant must have completed and passed nine (9) credits with at least a 3.0 GPA.  All of the above stated credits must have been obtained at one of the fourteen (14) state-owned universities (no outside transfers). The application is due in March. Check back here in the spring semester for the application forms.

The West Chester University chapter of APSCUF awards two scholarships, historically $1,000 each. The applicant must be an undergraduate who has completed at least 30 credits and has a GPA of 2.75 or higher. One of the scholarships is reseved for a student whose parent is a member of a labor union. The application is due in the spring. Check back her in the spring semester for the application forms.

The winner of the 2008 $1,000 APSCUF-WCU General Scholarship was Susan Berberich (English Education).

The winner of the 2008 APSCUF-WCU $1,000 Union Scholarship was Stephanie Harris (Communicative Disorders).
