Department: Library / Reference

Serving as the Campus Copyright Coordinator and positions with Mentoring, Research Advisory Council, Sabbatical and Leave, committees discussing the American Disability Act, Faculty Senate and Curriculum and Academic Policies Council, it is important to include non-classroom representation as it seems so often opportunities for advancement, professional development and service are focused only on classroom activities. A voice needs to be present to make sure non-classroom objectives are also recognized, included and served on campus. Excellence in Learning and Teaching must continue to develop and enhance infrastructure to better serve faculty and students. I realize the Committee has a broader mission to encourage more scholarly opportunities and initiate more creativity. Thanks.

Department: Counseling & Psychological Services

I am invested in the professional development of my faculty colleagues and believe that serving on the Tenure & Promotion committee is a way to fulfill this important aspect of my role as a non-classroom faculty member on this campus. As someone who was recently tenured and promoted, I believe I bring a fresh perspective to the review process. I am familiar with both the unique tasks of non-classroom faculty members, as well as how today's applicants experience the review process overall. I would offer a committed, curious, and conscientious attitude as a representative of this committee.
