Chiwoneso Beverley Tinago

Department: Public Health Sciences

I welcome the opportunity to serve the university community as the CHS rep for the TeP committee. I am committed to a fair and transparent tenure and promotion process and look forward to hearing more about the amazing work of our faculty colleagues. My service and leadership experience at the college and university level includes chairing the CHS Global Initiatives Committee which promotes and collaborates on global initiatives at WCU, in addition to reviewing applications for the Global Initiatives Award. I also chair the Certificate in Global Health Program Planning Committee as we develop the curriculum for the first 100% online undergraduate sub-baccalaureate Certificate in Global Health at WCU and in Pennsylvania. The certificate program will begin in fall 2024. As an invited member of the Committee for Advising Excellence since August 2018, I collaborated on developing the D2L advising training program and currently serve on a committee that reviews and selects applicants for the university Advising Award. In the New Faculty Orientation Committee (August 2016-present) I have co-chaired several committees including the faculty round-table committee. Serving on the TeP committee will be an honor. Thank you for your consideration.
