Angela T. Clarke

Department: Psychology

I am seeking a seat on the Tenure and Promotion Committee because I value the role of rigorous peer review, and I am committed to making fair and impartial recommendations as a committee member. I believe that a faculty members’ record should speak for itself, but I also recognize that forms of scholarship vary by discipline and are guided by faculty SOEs and Department Teacher-Scholar Models. I have significant experience with peer review through my college- and university-level service. Since joining WCU in 2007, I have been involved in the review process as a member of the Faculty Grants Development Committee, the CAPC General Education Committee and Diverse Communities Subcommittee, and Faculty Evaluation Committees in two different Colleges. Having recently been promoted to professor, I look forward to making recommendations for future tenure and promotion applicants.
