John Baker

Department: Art

Two years ago I was elected for my first term on TeP. I was able to provide insight and guidance about the tenure and promotion process. I have also served as chair of the art department for seven years, which has made me very familiar with faculty evaluations, quic's and committee procedures. I would welcome the opportunity to continue my service on the TeP committee where I would promote the important role of faculty with enthusiasm and a strong sense of commitment.

Deanne Z. Bonifazi

Department: Psychology

Having recently been through the promotion process myself, I am interested in serving on TeP. I have served on my departmental tenure and promotion committee and currently chair that committee. Additionally, I have served on other University committees such as CAPC and FDC. In these roles, I have seen examples of excellent teaching and scholarly work, and have worked with those committed to University service. Faculty members each have different strengths and each application needs to be carefully considered with these strengths in mind. I would be honored to serve on this most important committee.

Giovanni Casotti

Department: Biology

As an associate professor I have had the opportunity of submitting a packet to TeP for consideration. I am aware of the large amount of time and dedication needed by faculty if they are to be successful in obtaining tenure and/or promotion. I am looking for the opportunity of serving on TeP. I have been a member of CAPC for 4 years and have been on numerous committees that have dealt with graduate student issues. I now ask for your consideration to serve the University as a member of TeP.

Elizabeth Larsen

Department: english

For all faculty members TeP is probably one of the most important committees at WCU because our professional lives and incomes are so much conntected to tenure and promotion. Having served on the old TePSEL, I also understand how much work is involved; the TEP committment is not one to be undertaken lightly. However, my years at WCU have been well rewarded in many ways, and I think it is time to again give back. I'm willing to put the necessary time and energy into TeP, and, if you choose to elect me, I believe my reputation on campus suggests that I would be a thoughtful and fair TeP committee member
