Sami Abdel-Salam

Department: Criminal Justice

I am asking for your consideration to serve as a representative from CBPM on the Tenure and Promotion Committee. I understand this is a tremendous responsibility, and one that greatly influences the quality of West Chester University. I presently serve as the Chair of the Evaluation Committee within the Department of Criminal Justice. By serving in this capacity, I have an understanding of the process faculty undergo as they apply for tenure and promotion. I believe serving on the Tenure and Promotion Committee is one of the most important responsibilities a faculty member can be asked to perform. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the duties and responsibilities of those who serve on it. I hope you will please consider my sincere interest in this opportunity as you cast your vote.

Tom Miller

Department: Economics and Finance

I am currently in my 8th year at WCU. In the past I have served a 3 year term on Faculty Senate, and I am currently serving a partial 1-year on this TeP committee. I have found this service incredibly valuable and eye-opening as it has exposed me to all the amazing research and innovative teaching strategies being used in the varied disciplines across the university. I hope to continue this learning experience by serving on a full 2-year term. Finally, I believe it is critical for a business researcher to sit on TeP as our research fields and practices can differ greatly from other areas in the university.

Thank you, Tom Miller
