Department: Music Theory, History, and Composition Please consider voting for me for the CVPA Representative to the University Budget Committee. I believe this is an important new committee that will provide our faculty with greater access to the mechanisms that shape budget decisions for the entire university going forward.
Recent controversy over WCU's budgeting practice suggests that faculty should do more to understand the challenges and demands of making large-scale budgeting decisions and be in a position to communicate major considerations/priorities. During my time at WCU, I have served on the executive committees of both the Faculty Senate and APSCUF-WCU. I would be honored to represent the CVPA in this capacity.
