Christine MoriconiDepartment: Nursing I have been at WCU department of nursing since 2007 and during that time, I can say that balancing financial wants and needs has been an ongoing concern within our department and in the College of Health Science. It takes a cool head and a kind heart to get to the essence of this dilemma. Most importantly, it is vital to provide excellence in education at West Chester University within these financial limits. As a member of the budget committee, I will do my best to listen to the budgetary needs of each department and advocate for them effectively to ensure excellence in education. Thank you, Chris Sandi WalzDepartment: Nutrition I find this special election suited to my interests, education, and experience. I am numbers-oriented and have an extensive background in devising, reviewing, implementing, analyzing, and revising budgets. My doctoral degree is in Management (Hospital, Restaurant, Institutional) where I was educated on budgets and finances. In professional practice, I have managed small to large operation and food budgets. While at WCU, I managed a $250,000 budget to build a foods laboratory, have taught budget principles and have assigned business plans in courses I’ve taught, and secured grants with $50,000 budgets. I would welcome the opportunity to serve as the College of Health Sciences representative for the University Budget Committee. Thank you for your consideration.
