David Bolton

Department: Professional and Secondary Education

Having just come through the promotion process, I have a burden to assure that faculty coming up for tenure and promotion are aware of the requirements. I work hard on the committees I am on to make them successful, having been chair of the sabbatical and leave committee for many years; and the chair of the Knowledge Crossing Borders conference Program Subcommittee.

Linda Stevenson

Department: Political Science

As an associate professor in Political Science, director of Latin American Studies and active participant in Women's and Gender Studies over my eight years at WCU, I have become aware of the increasing number of ways faculty can meet the requirements for tenure and/or promotion, and I hope to work with faculty to aid them in feeling confident in their respective fields. Likewise, for faculty with inter-disciplinary teaching and research interests, for whom traditional standards are not the best fit, I hope to be able to work with others to revise or create new standards as they are needed.
