Department: ECE/Spec. Ed.

I would like to serve on the mentoring committee in order to be of service to the university. My past experience included directing the induction program for a large suburban school district. Research indicates that institutions with active mentoring programs have more satisfied productive employees, stronger organizational commitment, reduced turnover, and a stronger record of developing junior talent. I believe mentoring begets, mentoring, and has a profound impact on both an institution and a profession. I would like to help expand and refine West Chester University’s mentoring program.

Department: Special Education

I believe I am in a good position to serve on the faculty mentoring committee as I have served in the past as a mentor through the Women's Commission as well as a mentor to new faculty within our department. Additionally, I have served on numerous University Committees, therefore placing me in a position to have a solid understanding of how the univerity runs as well as what is needed of faculty. I would welcome the opportunity to serve.
