Greetings. I have been active in attending and participating in theWCU Research Consortium, and would be happy to serve as the Treasurer of the organization. My previous service as Treasurer includes work in the Oriental Club of Philadelphia and the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium. Here is a current biosketch: Frank J. Hoffman, Ph.D. (University of London) is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Associate Director of Ethnic Studies, West Chester University, and Visiting Scholar in the Center for East Asian Studies, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hoffman is author of three books and more than twenty five articles and fifty book reviews. His books are "Rationality and Mind in Early Buddhism" (Delhi: Motilal Banarsidass, 1987, 1992, 2002), "Pali Buddhism" with Deegalle Mahinda (Richmond, Surrey: Curzon Press, 1996), and "Breaking Barriers" with Godabarisha Mishra (Fremont CA: Asian Humanities Press, 2003). Frank Hoffman has done research in Sri Lanka and has lectured overseas in Hawaii, England, Germany, Japan, Korea, India, and China. A frequent panelist at conferences, he also serves on the Advisory Editorial Board of the British journal, Asian Philosophy, and is a Director of the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium. Prof. Hoffman is a recipient of the Rotary Grant for University Teachers for teaching in India (1999) and China (2004 and 2006). In 2005 Frank Hoffman received a Faculty Merit Award from West Chester University for collaborative research with students.
