Department: Academic Development Program

It would be my honor to serve on the Faculty Senate as a representative for non-classroom faculty. As a proxy, I have had the opportunity to observe the work of this group and look forward to becoming more involved. I believe the Senate contributes to improve communication and collaborative decision-making within the University community, essential elements to the success and well-being of our students.

Department: Counseling and Psychological Services

As a proxy, I am excited about the possibility of being a member of faculty senate and being a part of the shared governance of WCU. As a non-classroom faculty member from the Counseling Center, I believe that I have a unique and important perspective of not only issues impacting our students but our university as a whole. I hope to be more involved in positively impacting the welfare of our student body and the university.

Department: University Libraries

It has been an honor to serve as a Non-classroom Faculty Senate Representative for the last three years, and to contribute to the important work the Senate undertakes as part of shared governance here at WCU. As Chair of the Faculty Ethics Standing Committee, I am helping to lead the Senate’s involvement in the development of an Honor Pledge at WCU, an initiative begun in the Provost’s Office this past year and expected to continue into the upcoming academic year. I would very much like to follow through with this work as a way to contribute to the Senate and the WCU community. Thank you.
