Tammy Russell

Department: Educational Development-PMAA

Having arrived to West Chester University August 2010, I am very new to this institution as well as new to the organizational structure and policies followed. Despite my recent arrival, I have quickly involved myself with Women's and Gender Studies, LGBTQA Allies, Frederick Douglass Society, New Faculty Orientation, New Faculty Mentoring Program, the Library Advisory Committee, and the Early Alert Committee.

Being an advocate for the academic retention of students, helping to assess the variables related to student retention through my coordination of the Early Alert Program, I have already made course prerequisite requirement improvement suggestions that would significantly improve the academic outcomes of enrolling students. I believe my experience with student retention initiatives would be valuable and I seek your support.
