Department: Library Services

As the Electronic Resources Librarian at F.H.G. Library I am particularly aware of the need for effective communication among the library, the academic departments, and the entire WCU community. Increased opportunities in electronic delivery of educational services, resources and tools increase the need for cooperation to maximize University resources. As a Library Faculty representative to the Faculty Senate, I would be able to contribute toward these dual efforts for the benefit of the University’s educational goals.

Faculty Senate provides multiple avenues to communicate campus and community services. The Senate is receptive to a broad array of topics that are campus focused, community centered and issues based. Faculty Senate has been a great forum for developing guidelines, with many expamples of responding to campus concerns, e.g. SAP Measures and even local community issues, e.g Patriot Act. The Faculty Senate is what anyone cares to contribute knowing someone or some committee will review and prepare further action.
