Rules for the Election

    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes.
    • Faculty may be nominated as both a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative and as an at-large representative; however, candidates elected as a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative will be removed from the list of nominees for the election of at-large representatives.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

Rick Howard


Department: Kinesiology- College of Health Sciences

I have proudly served the Faculty Senate as a proxy by regularly attending Faculty Senate meetings, and proxying for Faculty Senate members upon request. The experience I have had serving in this capacity motivates me to seek election as the College of Health Sciences Representative to the Faculty Senate.

Michelle Kaulback


Department: Nursing

I am seeking a seat on Faculty Senate as a representative of the College of Health Sciences. I have served as a proxy on Faculty Senate for the past three years and have enjoyed the great work of Faculty Senate. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing since 2017 and I enjoy being involved in service within my department, college and the university. Please vote for me so I can continue in the work of the Faculty Senate and the WCU educational community.

Department: Nursing

As a member of the Department of Nursing, I have experience working with students and faculty in the classroom, online, and in clinical settings.
