Rules for the Election

    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes.
    • Faculty may be nominated as both a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative and as an at-large representative; however, candidates elected as a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative will be removed from the list of nominees for the election of at-large representatives.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

I have served the WCU Faculty Senate the past two years as a Senate proxy. I look forward to expanding my involvement in Faculty Senate and serving WCU faculty and students as a full-time member.

Nicole Cattano


Department: Sports Medicine

It would be an honor to serves as a Faculty Senate representative. I have been a faculty member at WCU for 8 years and have had the privilege to have served on the University’s Campus Climate Advisory and Student Success and Retention Committees. Throughout these experiences, I have developed a passion to participate in cross-campus collaborative efforts surrounding issues that are important to the growth and welfare of our faculty and students. I truly understand and value the importance of promoting an active and engaged WCU community, and I would be honored to be able to serve as a Faculty Senate representative. Christine Williams


Department: Health

I welcome an opportunity to serve the university through an inclusive committee dedicated to improving the environment for the faculty and students. It has been a fulfilling experience serving on the New Faculty Orientation committee and as the university's APSCUF Health & Wellness specialist, and I wish to extend my service with the Faculty Senate. My service as a senate proxy indicates my interest and belief in the mission of this organization. I look forward to contributing my experience which includes working in business for eight years and having taught at three other universities.
