Cate Crosby

Department: Languages & Cultures

I have served as a Senate proxy for the 2010-2011 year. I have found this service to the university, college, and department to be very rewarding. The meetings are informative and a great way to network with others across campus. I am running for a Senate position for the next academic year to have the opportunity to be more involved in this significant university committee.

Kurt Kolasinski

Department: Chemistry

I would appreciate your support to allow me to better serve WCU as a member of the Faculty Senate. As co-chair of the WCU's Sustainability Advisory Committee, a position I've held since 2009, I would be a natural fit for the Senate's Facilities & Sustainability Committee. I also have extensive experience with establishing national and international research collaborations, and integrating research into undergraduate education. Your vote will allow me to apply my experience and energy to furthering WCU's goals.

Department: Psychology

It has been my honor to serve as a faculty senator since 2008. In that time I have served on the faculty welfare committee for two years, and now contribute to the student welfare committee, as well as being an at-large member on the senate executive committee. Over the past three years, I have actively supported the focusing of the senate’s mission on campus climate issues, and the increased visibility of the faculty senate in the campus community. I hope to continue to work towards the goal of improving campus climate by increasing awareness of issues that affect our students, and advocating for their needs.
