Jennifer Gibbs

Department: Criminal Justice

As my first year at WCU is coming to a close and I reflect on the environment that drew me to this campus, I am committed to maintaining and improving West Chester U. Our university is a place where faculty are afforded opportunity for scholarly and personal growth, which sets the stage for encouraging an academic atmosphere devoted to student transformation through education.

While this is my first year at WCU, I have experience that may be beneficial to Faculty Senate. Currently serving as a proxy member of the Senate, I have a sense of the importance of representing my colleagues and promoting students' educational journey. Additionally, I serve on the executive board of a professional organization committee. Further, I earned a certificate in University Teaching and Learning while completing my phd.

I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to advance WCU!

During the past two terms, I have chaired the communications subcommittee to better the communication between Faculty Senate and faculty and also served on student welfare subcommittee. I am hoping to join other subcommittees as well to further contribute to Faculty Senate.
