Dan Cherry

Department: Applied Music

My name is Dan Cherry, and I teach trombone and jazz in the School of Music. I am new to West Chester University, but I bring 12 years of teaching experience from my previous job at Western Carolina University (the other WCU...) I am interested in adding another perspective to our Faculty Senate, and I would love to serve my colleagues in this capacity. I hope you'll consider me for this at-large seat. Thank you.

Melissa Reed

Department: Kinesiology

I have served as faculty senate proxy continuously since 2011 and have enjoyed my time serving in that capacity, however I would like to be even more active in advocating for policy matters at the institutional level. I would be honored to serve as an at-large representative on the committee and participate in the governance of West Chester University.

Matt Saboe

Department: Economics and Finance

As the university continues to expand enrollment and hire more faculty, the faculty senate will be instrumental in shaping new policies and advocating for policies putting our university community first. I have seen the efficacy of the senate in these regards as a proxy for the past two years. I hope to continue as an at-large member and provide a voice of reason with your best interests in mind. I appreciate your support and look forward to serving you.

Jacqueline Van Schooneveld

Department: Early and Middle Grades Department, COE

During the 2014-2015 I served as a permanent proxy for the Faculty Senate for the College of Education. I enjoyed learning how the senate thought about the culture and climate of the WCU community. I am applying to continue my participation in the Faculty Senate as an at large member.

Sandi Walz

Department: Nutrition

I am a Faculty Senate proxy for the College of Health Sciences for the 2014-2015 academic year. I enjoy being part of a forum that promotes the growth and development of faculty and students through shared governance at our institution. I would love to continue my service on this committee by shifting from a proxy to a senator.
