Rules for the Election

    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes.
    • Faculty may be nominated as both a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative and as an at-large representative; however, candidates elected as a school, college, or non-classroom faculty representative will be removed from the list of nominees for the election of at-large representatives.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

Corinne M. Murphy


Department: Early Childhood & Special Education

As I begin my fourth year here at WCU, I would like to extend my service to the Faculty Senate. I currently serve as the CPE representative for the Department of Early Childhood & Special Education. Through this experience, I have become aware of issues that are important to and affect university faculty. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss university policy and issues as they relate to faculty as well as potential solutions.

Sally Winterton


Department: Elementary EDUCATION

Currently, I am completeing my first term as a faculty senator. One sub committee on which I serve, Faculty Welfare, is reviewing the Code of Ethics. I would like to continue to serve on this sub committee and complete the task.
