Rules for the Election

    • This election is a run-off election for the School of Music Representative to the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee. According to the Sabbatical Policy, representatives must be elected by a majority of votes cast. Since no candidate on the first ballot received a majority of votes, a run-off election is held among the nominees with the highest two vote totals.
    • There was an error in the first run-off ballot that is fixed on this ballot.

Department: Vocal and Keyboard

I would like to serve on SaLE because I have had the opportunity to serve on many School of Music and university committees, but have not yet had the opportunity to serve the School of Music and university on an upper level committee of this kind. I would also find it interesting to learn about my university colleagues' scholarship and research interests.

Ralph Sorrentino


Department: Instrumental Music

I would be honored to represent the Wells School of Music on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee. I believe that sabbaticals can be rewarding for the individual and the institution, and I would appreciate the opportunity to learn about the various projects our faculty members are planning. I have served on several campus committees, including the Committee for Advising Excellence and the Student Leadership Project Team, and I would enjoy this opportunity to serve on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee.
