Lynda Baloche

Department: Elementary Education

I served on the old TePSEL several years ago. I found learning about the diverse, interesting, and often outstanding accomplishments of colleagues to be rewarding. TeP is a serious commitment--due both to the volume of work and to the nature of the committee's charge. If elected, I am willing to serve thoughtfully and fully.

Recently I had the opportunity to go before the Tenure and Promotion Committee, and thankfully was successful. Since I was a January hire there seemed to be more questions of timeline, etc. for me, and I found myself seeking counsel from various memebers on the committee. All interactions with committee members were helpful and professional. I realize that time on this committee is a large commmitment. My interactions with the committee members made the process for me less stressful. The committee members were professional at all times. I'd like to do the same for my colleagues across campus, to participate with a professional committee and extend the same level of competence and fairness to all that go forward to TEP. I'd like to take some stress out of this process, while continuing to support our high level of academics here at West Chester University.
