Tianran ChenDepartment: Physics As someone who has recently been through the tenure and promotion process, I hope to have the opportunity of providing support and assistance to future faculty applicants. The process involves managing information within OnBase, interpreting SRIS data, conveying a career in narratives, and other important components. I have found PTW workshops to be immensely useful, and I would like to put my experience to work in assisting other faculty. Thank you for your consideration. Erin HillDepartment: Psychology Dear colleagues: I am in my 6th year at WCU and am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. I am interested in serving on the Promotion and Tenure Workshop Committee because I am interested in supporting others in the tenure and promotion process. I received notification about my tenure and promotion in May 2018; therefore, I have recent experience with applying for tenure and promotion and using the OnBase system. I have offered support in terms of advice/feedback on the tenure and promotion process to departmental colleagues and I am interested in contributing to the wider campus community in a related capacity and more formal way. The tenure and promotion process is labor-intensive, and I believe strongly in supporting colleagues through what can be a stressful time in their career. I have been an active member in our campus community through bodies such as Faculty Senate and the University Writing Council Advisory Board. I would look forward to an opportunity to serve the wider campus community through the PTW Committee. Thank you for your consideration and support.
