Rules for the Election
Patricia DavidsonDepartment: Nutrition Dear Colleagues: I seek your support in continuing my service as a member of the Faculty Mentoring Committee. As current co-chair and mentor, I have had the pleasure of working with faculty across campus to expand the faculty mentoring program. The mentor/mentee relationships and work on this committee have been an essential part of the academic experience and one of the most meaningful of my service opportunities. My success would not have been possible without fantastic mentoring from other faculty. Thank you for your time, consideration, and support to continue my service on the FMC. Harry D. HoltDepartment: Health Thank you for considering my nomination for the Faculty Mentoring Committee. I have been fortunate to have a mentor while at WCU and look forward to enabling new faculty to also have this opportunity. New faculty especially may benefit from the opportunity to be mentored by experienced faculty at WCU. I believe that having an effective mentor is one of the critical success factors to achieving tenure and promotion. I look forward to assisting in a seamless transition from the New Facility Orientation experience to being pared with a mentor for all faculty. Thank you for your consideration and support. Lindsey KeenanDepartment: Sports Medicine Hello colleagues. I would like to be considered for election to the Faculty Mentoring Committee. When I first came to WCU as a new faculty member, I was impressed with the faculty mentoring that provided. This had an incredible impact on my initial impressions of our institution and the support and positive environment created by fellow colleagues and my faculty mentor. The mentoring I received was also integral in my successful application for tenure and promotion and involvement in the university community. I would love the opportunity to pay this forward and provide my service on this committee. Created and copyrighted by Clifford Johnston, 2000-12 |
