I would be grateful for the opportunity to represent the CAH on the Faculty Mentoring Committee. I value the role of mentoring in building connections and fostering growth for both the mentor and the mentee. Since arriving at WCU in 2013, mentoring relationships have helped me successfully navigate various issues that impact faculty ranging from pedagogical, scholarly, and service-oriented endeavors to balancing different professional and life demands. I would like to pay it forward not only by serving as an individual mentor (which I officially began as part of the FMC in 2021) but also by fostering mentoring relationships for others across the campus. I believe my experience as a Chair of the Department Evaluation Committee can be an asset in this role. Thank you very much for your consideration.
