Regular Faculty in the College of Business and Public Management may be nominated.

Rules for the Election

    • Each Department may have at most one representative on the Faculty Mentoring Committee.
    • This election is for 2 seats with different terms. The candidate with the highest vote count will be elected to the seat with the longer term--spring 2024. Once the seat with the longer term is filled, that candidate and any other ineligible candidates will be removed. Of the remaining candidates, the candidate with the highest vote total will be seated for the shorter term--spring 2023.
    • If any seats remain open because of the rules above, a run-off election between the top two eligible vote-getters will be held.
    • If there are two or fewer candidates, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot. The candidate with the higher approval votes will fill the seat with the longer term.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of votes cast. Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

I benefited greatly from having a mentor during my first year at WCU and have thoroughly enjoyed being a mentor this year, and I would love to work more directly with the mentoring program.
