Vicki McGinley

Department: Special Education

Since my tenure at WCU I have sought out opportunities to improve my teaching, and thus student learning. I have attended numerous workshops on and off campus and participated in college coursework---continuing to be a lifelong learner. At times, I have been called upon to share some of the practices that I have incorporated into my college classes, such as the use of various Web 2.0 tools, interactive media posters, etc., and have done so appreciatively through CELT, Research Day, and RECAP, as well as through other venues. I have served on a number of university committees (Faculty Development, TEP, CAPC, etc.), seeking opportunities to increase my learning and service to the university. I would like the opportunity to support the fine work of the Committee for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and ask for your support.
