Rules for the Election

    • Faculty Grant Development Committee Seat (note name change from Faculty Development Committee)
    • Each department can have at most one representative on the University Faculty Development Committee.
    • The committee has nine faculty representatives--four from the College of Arts and Sciences, one from each of the Schools of Health Sciences, Education, Music, and Business and Public Affairs, and one from the non-classroom faculty--and four additional members representing various university groups.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rules or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.
    • All regular terms begin the first day of the academic year.

Allison Turner


Department: Political Science

Hello, my name is Allison Turner and I am a third year Political Science faculty member teaching in the Master of Public Administration program. I would like to be of assistance to the CBPA by serving as a Representative on the Faculty Grant Development Committee.

In addition to teaching a grant writing course, I have experience as a member of a grant application review committee for a pharmaceutical foundation and have applied for and received grants individually and as part of a team.

I am very interested in the work of this committee and would appreciate the opportunity to support the scholarly growth and professional development of my colleagues. Thank you for your consideration.
