Rules for the Election

    • Each department can have at most one representative on the Evaluation Policy and Training Committee.
    • Membership on the committee is restricted to the following structure: 2 faculty representatives from the College of Arts and Sciences, 1 faculty representative from each of the Schools of Health Sciences, Education, Music, and Business and Public Affairs, and 1 faculty representative from the non-classroom faculty. Of the two representatives from CAS, one must be from the Arts or Humanities and the other from the Natural or Social Sciences. Non-classroom faculty are those faculty in Educational Services, the Library, and Counseling.
    • The election is decided by a majority of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rules or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

Department: Health

It would be an honor to serve on the EPT commmittee. I strongly believe in the role and value of mentoring faculty. As a temporary faculty member, I attended and greatly appreciated the workshops that this committee regularly conducts.

Jennifer Means


Department: Communicative Disorders

Having recently completed the tenure and promotion process myself, I believe I have a great deal to offer tenure track faculty members. As a former member of the New Faculty Orientation Committee and previous APSCUF delegate, I am familiar with the necessary documents from both procedural and CBA perspectives.
