David Bolton

Department: Professional and Secondary Education

Having struggled through the tenure and promotion process, I am concerned about making the the tenure and promotion process as understandable as possible. As a current member of the Promotion and Tenure Workshop Committee, I've been working on doing that. I'm currently working on a survey to assure that the workshops are as effective as possible. I am interested in continuing to be actively involved in the next term.

Department: Professional & Secondary Education

With the current push to corporatize universities I believe it is a critical time to support, defend and expand every aspect of the shared governance model within our institution. For me, there is nothing more central to that system than the faculties right to evaluate, and be evaluated by, our colleagues. My experiences as a department chair and as an APSCUF state delegate for the last three years have provided me the opportunity to consider evaluation and promotion policies from several perspectives, but I would appreciate the opportunity to serve on this committee and learn more.
