As each seat is filled, the candidate filling that seat and any other candidates from the same department as the candidate filling that seat will be disqualified. Votes cast for disqualified candidates, as just defined, will not be considered in filling remaining vacant seats.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

Lisa Millhous

Department: Communication Studies

Since I began at WCU in 1999 I have been working on the New Faculty Orientation Committee to assist new probationary faculty with understanding and meeting WCU tenure and promotion expectations. In 2001 I organized additional meetings between TEP representatives and probationary faculty to assist them and I have been working since then to assist probationary faculty in the tenure/promotion process. I was tenured in 2004 and promoted in 2005 so I am still close to the event to understand it. I am sincerely invested in educating and supporting faculty through the evaluation process, as well as monitoring that process to better understand how it is affecting the institution.

Victoria Tischio

Department: English

I think that it is important for faculty to take an active role in preparing each other for the tenure and promotion process. I am interested in serving on this committee so that I can play a role in shaping how the tenure and promotion processes work.
