Department: Ed Foundation and Policy Studies My master's degree and Ph.D. are in the are in the area of educational research and statistics. During my time at WCU, I have taught research methods courses in education and sociology. I was also a co-founder of the West Chester Statistics Institute which provided statistical consulting to a variety of different organizations and persons. I am also a member of the research subcommittee for the Faculty Senate. Research is my passion.
From 2014 to 2019, I was an active member of the Council for Undergraduate Research. During that time, I was its chair and subsequently its co-chair. Megan Corbin and I were instrumental in carrying out the business of the Council. This involved organizing and carrying out the Summer Undergraduate Research Institute in its earliest form and in its subsequent development. I have also participated in SURI twice as a faculty member and have actively recruited faculty from the College of Education to participate in SURI. Research is my passion.
In 2018, Dr. Megan Corbin and I founded Ramifications, the undergraduate research journal, which has publish its first and second issues. I have a passion for undergraduate research and want to continue this work and expand opportunities and support for undergraduate research at WCU.
