Department: Early and Middle Grades Education

I would like to continue to serve on the Committee for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) as the CESW Representative. I have enjoyed working with colleagues across the university in meaningful and productive ways. I have worked diligently to be a committed and contributing member of CELT. I have co-hosted the CELT Book Club, worked with the Spring Conference Committee, and participated in CELT Think Tank to support and provide feedback to grant applicants. I have also collaboratively reviewed CELT Grant applications. Being a CESW representative member of CELT has enriched my knowledge of the scholarship pursuits of my university colleagues and informed me of various program revisions and initiatives that occur. It is my hope that I may continue to represent the CESW for another term. If I am re-elected, I will continue to contribute to this committee in productive ways and work to support the goals of CELT.

Department: Literacy

Hello! I have been a faculty member in the Literacy Department since 2017. One of the (many) things that made me excited to join the faculty at West Chester University was the emphasis placed on high-quality teaching and life-long learning. I love the message the "Learn More" banners placed around campus send to our campus community, and as a reflective practitioner, I consistently strive to "learn more" about learning and teaching in higher education. Since I joined the West Chester University community, I have participated in the Scholarship of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (SOTLA) conference & book club as well as the book clubs sponsored by the Committee for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT). I have enjoyed these opportunities to learn with and from my colleagues from across the university. I would be honored to become a member of the CELT to continue to "learn more" from my colleagues across the campus and to collaborate with them in pursuit of excellence in learning and teaching.
