Rules for the Election
Md AmiruzzamanDepartment: Computer Science I am seeking election as the CSM Representative for the Committee for Excellence in Learning and Teaching because I am deeply committed to advocating for the diverse instructional and pedagogical needs of our faculty. As an Associate Professor in Computer Science, my approach is informed by an interdisciplinary doctoral background and a firsthand understanding of the practical challenges involved in maintaining high academic standards while managing faculty workload. I have contributed to several program developments and have extensive experience in curriculum development, having developed and taught over 28 courses. This experience allows me to provide thoughtful insight into policy changes, ensuring they are grounded in the realities of the classroom and the evolving needs of our students. If elected, I will work collaboratively to represent our college, advocating for the resources and strategies that empower our faculty to excel in their teaching and mentorship missions. Christopher RoemmeleDepartment: Earth and Space Sciences Hello there! I am an Associate Professor in the Earth and Space Sciences Department. I also have a presence in the College of Education, as I teach all the science methods courses to the Early and Middle Grades Prep majors. I have served on CELT since 2020 and have helped to coordinate the Celebration of Teaching each May, as well as organize, moderate and serve on a panel for the Faculty Fusion the past few years. I have led the Book Club and Podcast Club for CELT. I also helped to organize the Alternative Grading FLC for the TLC. I created and coordinate the Science on Tap lecture series. In my department, I am Assistant Chair, Evaluation Chair and work on the Curriculum Committee. It would be a pleasure to continue my work with CELT and TLC representing the College of Sciences and Mathematics. Created and copyrighted by Clifford Johnston, 2000-12 |
