María J. Cabrera-PucheDepartment: Languages and Cultures I would be honored to share and provide well-informed and updated input in the areas of teaching and learning, as a way to maximize both. Also, my interest, experience, and expertise with curriculum development & assessment (at WCU & in the community) give me some tools I'd like to share at CELT. Timothy RayDepartment: English I am eager to provide our students with the best educational experience possible, and a great deal of that effort lies in making our pedagogy as effective as possible. I consider myself to be a reflective practitioner in the classroom and would like to be involved in helping others in that regard. Megan SaltzmanDepartment: Languages and Cultures My life revolves around all facets of teaching and learning. I have 15 years of diverse teaching experience and I'm well-versed in traditional, contemporary, experimental, and interdisciplinary teaching methods. I enjoy collaborating; and everyday I'm exchanging pedagogical ideas with colleagues. Ana SanchezDepartment: Languages and Cultures I have always been interested in new approaches, pedagogy that can improve the teaching/learning process. I have done extensive research on methodology, pedagogy and didactic materials that can meet our students' learning styles and interests regardless of the subject we teach. Jordan SchugarDepartment: English Throughout my ten years at WCU I have participated in a variety of CELT initiatives that have shaped my pedagogy. The majority of my professional work revolves around interdisciplinary collaboration, like creating a makerspace in the library, and I would be honored to serve with your support. Janneken SmuckerDepartment: History I am completing my first 3-year term on CELT, serving as co-chair for 2 years. I wish to continue to expand its initiatives, including our spring workshop, professional development award, and book club. I'd like CELT to play a more prominent role in promoting pedagogical innovation across campus. Kuhio WaltersDepartment: English I feel research collaboration between students and faculty is one of the most satisfying and important kinds of work we do at WCU. My own experiences with SURI have inspired me to work with CELT to continue finding innovative ways to engage our students and faculty in scholarship and creative work. K. Jamie WoodliefDepartment: English I have attended many CELT conferences and workshops over the past few years, and gained valuable knowledge and insight into my pedagogical practices through these events. I believe CELT is a unique and important resource for faculty and I would like to be a part of its mission. Created and copyrighted by Clifford Johnston, 2000-12 |
