María J. Cabrera-Puche

Department: Languages and Cultures

I would be honored to share and provide well-informed and updated input in the areas of teaching and learning, as a way to maximize both. Also, my interest, experience, and expertise with curriculum development & assessment (at WCU & in the community) give me some tools I'd like to share at CELT.

I am eager to provide our students with the best educational experience possible, and a great deal of that effort lies in making our pedagogy as effective as possible. I consider myself to be a reflective practitioner in the classroom and would like to be involved in helping others in that regard.

I feel research collaboration between students and faculty is one of the most satisfying and important kinds of work we do at WCU. My own experiences with SURI have inspired me to work with CELT to continue finding innovative ways to engage our students and faculty in scholarship and creative work.
