Devin Arne

Department: Music Theory, History and Composition

I am a fourth-year Assistant Professor of Studio Composition with a strong commitment to curriculum development and collaborative academic service. This semester, I am completing a three-year term on the Council for Undergraduate Research, where I served as a general member and on the SURI Marketing Subcommittee. I have also served on the Wells School of Music Strategic Planning Committee.

My interest in this role is rooted in hands-on curriculum development, designing courses that align with student interests and future success. I have collaborated with the Department of Music Education to develop two graduate courses, Songwriting for Educators and Music Technology for Educators, and partnered externally with MCCC to evaluate a potential articulation pathway for Associate Degree students entering the Wells School of Music. I look forward to bringing this experience and continued enthusiasm for thoughtful curriculum development to the Music Theory, History, and Composition Department Representative position.
