Rules for the Election

    • Only non-classroom faculty may be nominated in this election.
    • Each department can have at most three representatives on CAPC.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rule or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each ballot submitted counts as a cast vote.
    • Members elected to at-large seats cannot be nominated for department representative seats.
    • Seats with longer terms will be filled first. In the case of an approve/disapprove ballot, candidates will be ranked according to number of approve votes.
    • This is a university-wide election.

Department: EDS - Exploratory Stud. and Liberal Stud

As an associate professor and member of University College for the past 12 years, I would like to continue the work I've been doing on the Undergraduate Programs Committee of CAPC. This committee provides essential, University-wide services by reviewing all new and changing courses and programs. I feel fortunate to have worked with dedicated, hard-working colleagues from every other college and to have learned critical information for Exploratory and Liberal Studies students. I hope to continue keeping my finger on the pulse of the creative, student-oriented changes WCU departments will propose in the future.
