Marjorie Kat Ellis

Department: Kinesiology

I would like to take this opportunity to express both an interest and excitement in representing the department of kinesiology on the CAPC board. In my first seven years at WCUPA, I have been involved in many aspects of program development and approval and have gained much experience and understanding of the CAPC process at both the university and state level through multiple course and program development/revision/approvals, including a new minor program which navigated the PASSHE system. This experience is critical in navigating the CAPC process successfully and I would like to use my background, experience and understanding to not only assist other faculty in their own program/course development/revision, but also helping to make the whole process more understandable and successful for everyone involved. In fact, it has been a goal of mine to become a member of this prestige group since my second year here. I would greatly appreciate your support in making this goal a reality. Thank you.

John G Helion

Department: Kinesiology

I have been a faculty member in the College of Health Sciences for over 25 years. As a result of my time and my interactions with members of other departments in the College, I feel that I would have a good understanding of the needs of the various departments and would be able to effectively serve all constituents.

Whitney Katirai

Department: Health

Dear friends and colleagues. As a faculty member in the graduate and undergraduate programs in the Department of Health, I feel that as the CAPC representative I would be able to effectively serve my Department and my College. I am interested in learning more about curriculum development and policy, and feel that serving as the CAPC representative would be an excellent opportunity to serve the University community. Thank you for your consideration.

It is an honor to nominate Dr. Kim. She is a critical thinker who appreciates diversity in the universe, including the diverse range of individual programs and colleges that combine to form our university. She has experience with CAPC through course and program development. She has the ability to see the big picture while thinking carefully about details. She collaborates well with others, showing respect and sensitivity at all times. She is an excellent candidate for this position. Please vote for her. Mareile Koenig
