Department: Special Education For the past seven years, I have had an abundance of experience with course, program, and policy development and review. These experiences have been within the Department of Special Education, the CESW, and across the university. Upon joining the university, I served on my Department's Curriculum Committee and the Assessment Committee, at which time I have been involved in course and program development. This has included course revisions, new program/minor development, and the special education program revision due to PDE requirements. I have also served as the Department Representative on the Council for Professional Education (CPE) for the past five years, where we review proposals impacting the Educator Preparation Programs across the university. I currently Facilitate the CESW Curriculum Committee, which reviews proposals impacting departments across the CESW. My experiences with CAPC & CIM extend to serving on the General Education Program Committees (i.e., Diversity & Writing Emphasis). I continue in all of these roles because I enjoy it and find my service informative, not only to my own teaching, but also for the university at large, and my colleagues across the university. My service with the assessment committee has also provided me with insight to understanding the details related to proposals. I have been and will continue to be supportive of those who submit proposals. I would be honored to have your vote and serve as a faculty representative for CAPC.
