Carol Smith

Department: Literacy

For the past 3 years, I have served on CAPC and three of its subcommittees -- CAPC Executive Committee, Graduate CAPC, and Undergraduate Programs Committee (UGPC) -- because of my role as Facilitator of the Council for Professional Education (CPE). In that time, I have participated in over 140 meetings to review proposed changes to policy, programs, and courses. As my CPE leadership term expires, I would appreciate the opportunity to represent the College of Education and Social Work as the Literacy department's elected CAPC member. I will bring three years' worth of experience and knowledge about CAPC's processes and the related time demands. Thank you for considering my candidacy.

Department: Literacy

I respectfully submit my nomination for consideration as a College of Education and Social Work Department Representative to CAPC. I would appreciate the opportunity to extend the service in which I have engaged around assessment and accreditation at the department and college level to participation in the work of CAPC. I would look forward to supporting the curricular development processes of colleagues from across the WCU campus.
