Rules for the Election

    • Nominees must be from the Department of Psychology.
    • Each department can have at most three representatives on CAPC.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rule or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each ballot submitted counts as a cast vote.
    • Members elected to at-large seats cannot be nominated for department representative seats.

Kristen R. Breit


Department: Psychology

I started at WCU during the Fall of 2020 as an Assistant Professor in the Psychology department, where I teach several of our Biopsychology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Since then, I have proposed several changes to Psychology courses and am proposing new pathway and certificate programs to increase the types of courses accessible to our students. I am interested in representing Psychology for CAPC due to my dedication to student educational and professional development, within my department and beyond.
