Jenna Becker Kane

Department: Political Science

I have served on the Speaking Emphasis Subcommittee of the General Education Committee of CAPC for the past three years. During this time I have assisted with reviewing and approving courses seeking designation as Speaking Emphasis under WCU's Gen Ed program. This past year, I began serving as the Chair of the subcommittee and also assisted with faculty development sessions aimed at helping faculty develop SE course proposals. I believe that my institutional knowledge with the CAPC approval process and the workings of the Gen Ed Committee will serve me well as the Political Science Department's Representative to CAPC.
