Joshua Raclaw

Department: English

I am an associate professor in the English department and current co-chair of our department's undergraduate curriculum committee, which I have served on as a member for five years. I previously served as the director of the WCU Linguistics program, and I both chaired and served as a member on the steering committee convened to develop the university's recently established BA in Linguistics. In my eight years as a faculty member at WCU, I have been active in the English department's own curriculum reform efforts and I have developed and submitted a wide range of courses with Gen Ed designations, from Ethics to Speaking Emphasis and Interdisciplinary courses. I would welcome the opportunity to represent the English department and to serve the College of Arts and Humanities as the department representative to CAPC.
