Rules for the Election

    • Due to current composition of CAPC, this is open only to members of the Geography & Planning, Computer Science and Marketing Departments.
    • Each department can have at most three representatives on CAPC.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rule or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each ballot submitted counts as a cast vote.
    • Members elected to at-large seats cannot be nominated for department representative seats.

Department: Geography and Planning

Dear Friends and Colleagues

For the past year I have served on the UGPC subcommittee of CAPC as the department representative for geography and planning. Prior to that I served for three years on the graduate subcommittee. I am currently serving as the chair of the graduate executive committee of the graduate council. I have a great interest in the work of CAPC and would like to continue to work on important initiatives and continue to be of service to the university and my colleagues.
