Department: Geography and Planning

Dear Friends and Colleagues

For the past three years I have served as an Ad-Hoc member to the graduate subcommittee of CAPC and two years as the CBPA representative to the graduate executive council. This previous year I have also had the pleasure to serve as the special assistant to the Dean of Graduate Studies and Vice Provost and I believe that I was assisting with important work related to graduate academic policies. I have a great interest in the work of CAPC and would like to continue to work on important initiatives and continue to be of service to the university and my colleagues. Thank you for your consideration.

Jeremy Phillips

Department: Public Policy and Administration

Dear Colleagues,

I would like the opportunity to serve our department as our CAPC representative. I have a great interest in the work that CAPC performs for the university, particularly as it relates to graduate education. To highlight my experience with curricular development, I assisted in the development of the DPA program and helped create an online option for our MPA program. I look forward to serving our department and the WCU community and hope to gain your support.

Ma Ga (Mark) Yang

Department: Management

I am currently finishing up my third year as a WCU faculty member. During my time here, I have gained experience in curriculum development for a certificate in Project Management (MBA-level) and in the development of a new course in Project Quality Management (MBA-level). In addition, I have taught a substantial number of distance education courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I feel that my experience in these areas will inform my contribution to CAPC given the rapid growth of our distance education offerings at the university. I would welcome the opportunity to bring my experience to contribute to CAPC.

Thank you for your consideration!
