Lisa Millhous

Department: Communication Studies

I would be honored to serve as the local Vice President for our union, if elected. I have experience locally at a variety of levels of governance as well as state level union experience. I have an academic background in management, group dynamics and organizational design as well as in Communication. I have a personal concern for raising awareness of faculty concerns, pursuing fairness, and building relationships among constituents groups.

I have been involved locally in APSCUF since arriving on campus in Fall of 1999, and at the state level I have been active as the chair of the State Gender Issues and Social Justice Committee since Fall 2004. I have also served as a State delegate from WCU. I have a broad knowledge of campus activities through my service on university committees such as the New Faculty Orientation Committee, the Evaluation, Policy, and Training Committee, the Social Justice Committee, Graduate Coordinators Council, the Undergraduate Academic Advising Committee, Women's Studies and others.
