Blaise Frost

Department: Chemistry

I am Blaise Frost and I am seeking the office of vice-president of the West Chester University (WCU) Local Chapter of APSCUF.

Since becoming a member of the Chemistry Department at WCU, I have been an active member of APSCUF on several levels. I have represented my department at local delegate assemblies. I have been the recording secretary for the local chapter and I have served on the local grievance committee. I have been a delegate at statewide APSCUF meetings.

In all capacities, I have sought to understand the interaction between our union and management at both the local and state levels. I have worked to learn what our faculty and those of the other 13 state campuses really want and need. Throughout this learning process, I have tried to help this union secure the protection and fair treatment that our faculty deserves.

I would appreciate your support in this important election.

Clifford Johnston

Department: Mathematics

As Corresponding Secretary and a State Delegate for the past 2 years, I have learned a great deal about APSCUF and the important role it plays in trying to maintain a healthy working environment for faculty. With negotiations not going well and management unilaterally imposing policies that impact faculty, I believe APSCUF will need to remain vigilant with regard to local policy and contract implementation and will need to increase its efforts to affect change in Harrisburg. As Vice President, I will act to see these goals accomplished. Thank you for your support.
