Department: Philosophy

Dear APSCUF colleagues,

I am interested in serving as Recording Secretary for WCU APSCUF. In observing the abilities of those already available to fill various APSCUF offices I feel encouraged by the presence of strong faculty union supporters. My belief is that being Recording Secretary is the best way that I can continue my commitment to APSCUF service at the present time, so I am asking for your support so that I may continue to support you. My commitment began when I arrived at West Chester University in 1990 and first became an APSCUF member. It continues on to this day. My commitment was formed on the basis of growing up in a union family and hearing my father tell the details of working conditions for auto workers before the union and after the union.

My current APSCUF duties are: Meet and Discuss at WCU, Meet and Discuss Team at WCU, Committee Chair of Social Justice at WCU, and Delegate at State APSCUF.

Previously I have served as CAP Chair for WCU APSCUF and as WCU APSCUF Recording Secretary. Previously, in addition to having been a State APSCUF Delegate and an Alternate Delegate, I have served on the following State APSCUF committees: State APSCUF Health and Welfare Specialists Committee, State APSCUF Legislation Committee, and State APSCUF Committee for Action through Politics (CAP).

If I am elected Recording Secretary, then I promise to record the details of APSCUF meetings faithfully.
