Margaret Ervin

Department: English

I am completing my first term as WCU APSCUF Chapter President and seeking a second term. I came to the role having served on the Executive Committee and Meet and Discuss Team for six years, served as Grievance Chair for two years, and served on the Negotiations Team for the 2019-23 Collective Bargaining Agreement. I feel proud of the work APSCUF is able to do for its members, and believe that together we continually seek to improve faculty working conditions and the environment that enables us to do the best for our students. One of the things I am most proud of in my 2021-2023 term is working with the Executive Committee to strengthen our bylaws by including the adjunct committee chairs as voting members of the Executive Committee. I am honored to be in a position to provide a voice for our members and always seek to be responsive and to listen well. I would be honored to serve for another two years as President.
