Having served APSCUF over the past 9 years in several capacities (Grievance Committee Chair, Executive Committee, local and state Delegate Assembly, local and state Meet and Discuss) and having participated in policy negotiations with management on the APSCUF team (Promotion Policy, Sabbatical Policy, Sex Harassment Policy, and the joint Task Force that re-negotiated all local policies prior to 1989), I am running for President to offer experienced representation on issues that faculty members care about. I hope to be able to ensure a knowledgeable voice in manangement/union relations and to open union participation to a broader range of faculty to ensure a strong and effective presence for APSCUF at WCU.
